With WhatsApp Marketing you can now create, deliver, and interact with customers anytime on a platform they trust. It can be instantly put to play for Zoho Marketing Automation 2.0 users. Here is how businesses can leverage the most active channel for their marketing.

Before you start WhatsApp Marketing, you must be aware of these concepts:

Businesses using WhatsApp are charged per 24-hour conversation, with different rates by conversation category. There are majorly four conversation categories on the WhatsApp Business Platform: Marketing, Utility, Authentication, and Service.
We will be supporting only Marketing message category in the initial phase, and support Utility category in subsequent phases. Users can initiate a WhatsApp conversation with a template message. 
 
Once the templates are drafted, users have to send it for review. Meta reviews the templates from their end and post approval users can run communications to different countries and multiple numbers. 
 
WhatsApp Credits – Similar to SMS credits, WhatsApp business communications are powered with credits. You can buy credits as add on to your subscriptions. Also, you can run messages to your target audience at any country and charged differently. The cost to send one WhatsApp message varies by country and volume. Each conversation is charged as per the country code of the end- user. 
 
Sending bulk messages in Tier – WhatsApp only allows sending messages in different tiers to avoid WhatsApp users getting spammed. The first tier has a capacity of 1000 messages, 2nd tier 10,000, 3rd tier 1,00,000, and the 4th tier with unlimited messages. 
 
Users can’t send bulk messages immediately and have to wait till the messages are executed to the first tier. It takes 24 hours for moving to the next tier. And post 24 hours, the limit gets upgraded to the next tier where upto 10,000 messages will be delivered under Tier 2. For example, if the user wants to send 1,00,000 messages, they have to wait till 4 days, as it takes 24 hours to move from 1st tier to 2nd tier.
